Talking becomes difficult in this situation because of different time zones and absence makes the heart grow fonder is a phrase commonly used by couples who are in a long distance relationship”.

Here are some reasons why long distance relationships fail.

Trust level just comes down: No matter how you trust your partner, you will always be suspicious and always wonder at all time who your partner is with and where is your partner and this will only weaken your relationship as times goes on and in the end, this suspicious attitude will create bigger problems in your relationship.

Communication is a problem: “In a long distance relationship, communication is the main problem. If you two share a massive time zone difference, then the problem is even bigger, you cannot always talk to your partner, the communication gap also leads to misunderstandings because when you do talk, you will end up quarrelling over the silliest things”.

Chances of boredom setting in are high.

It usually leads to cheating: “Unfortunate, but true. Not in every case, but in many. Let’s face the facts: Your significant other is miles and miles away, you’re lonely and depressed about it, and there are tons of single people in the town where you live, statistically, you’re probably going to think about cheating”.

Distance leads to frustration which automatically leads to fighting and fighting leads to break ups which is the inevitable cycle of long distance relationship.

Jealousy will creep in and this is only natural because of the distance and you don’t know what your partner is up to and who he/she is hanging out with. While some couples surpass this phase of jealousy others don’t and just end the relationship because they can no longer take the pressure.

No kind of physical contact and with time temptation sets in.
