Barcelona technical secretary Robert Fernandez has revealed Brazilian superstar Neymar is not ‘untransferable’ amid speculations of a potential move to Manchester United.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for the 25-year-old ahead of a summer window, following reports that he wants to leave Camp Nou after getting overshadowed by Lionel Messi at Barcelona.
Manchester United have been tipped to make another world-record deal after their acquisition of French superstar Paul Pogba during the last summer transfer window. Neymar’s agent also confirmed that he nearly joined Paris Saint Germaine last summer, who were believed to be keen on landing him for an astronomical fee but pulled out of the deal due to the player’s financial problems.
It is understood that the Brazilian is looking to leave the Catalan giants, in a bid to fulfil his dreams of playing in the Premier League and United are ready to meet his wages, with suggestions that Jose Mourinho has met with the player’s representatives in recent weeks and talked about a potential deal next summer.
However, Robert Fernandez has dismissed reports that Neymar will leave Camp Nou in the near future, he told RAC1: ‘He is totally untransferable,’
The 25-year-old was seen crying uncontrollably after Barcelona crashed out of the Champions League, after suffering 3-0 from Juventus, fuelling speculations that Neymar might fancy a move away from Barcelona next summer transfer window.
